Demonstration Ground rules

• • Meetings will start and end on time
  • There is only one meeting -- no side conversations
  • One person talk at a time
  • Stay on the subject (follow the agenda)
  • Interrupt  when participants go off the subject (remind them of the "Stay on the subject" ground rule)
  • Assign one person as timekeeper 
  • Use a timekeeper to remind the participants of how much time remains
  • Inform next demonstration date & location
  • Thank participants for their feedback  

Strategies

• Specify duration of the demonstration 

• It is helpful to post the ground rules somewhere visible during the demonstration
• Revisit the ground rules occasionally and, if time allows, ask whether the participants would like to add any new items.
